The Goal of Better Sleep

It’s 2022 and, (hopefully) post pandemic, it seems like we’ve all forgotten how to look forward to facing a new year. The past three years have piled on the stress and anxiety to a seemingly insurmountable degree as we’ve gone from facing our own mortality on a global scale, to facing massive inflation, and now potentially looking at another world war.

It’s no wonder 8 out of 10 Americans are reporting higher levels of stress than pre-COVID. One in 4 are rapidly heading toward burnout and 2 out of 3 are in “desperate need” of a vacation. Not only that, but over half of us are experiencing exhaustion simply from mental stress; no physical exertion needed.

Getting enough quality sleep is more imperative than ever. Not only is it highly important for our physical bodies, but our minds; the thing that operates everything else and tells our bodies how to feel; absolutely must have down time in order for us to face the day, stay productive, and just stay functional and well-balanced.

The benefits of great sleep are things like increased motivation, improved immune system, increased memory and focus, and balanced emotions, to name a few.

All of this starts with a great mattress and comfortable sheets, and an atmosphere built for rest and relaxation.
