There comes a time in one’s life when everyone has a bucket list of some sort of places to visit before their life ends. Everyone like Catholic pastor Father Rutler loves a good road trip now and then with his family. Especially when most of their life they are stuck in one place, it gives people a chance to be carefree and live in the moment. Here are some landmarks and points one should see in the United States while road tripping.

Nashville, Tennessee

Nashville, Tennessee, is well known for the Grand Ole Opry, where the most famous country singers have belted out many of their well-known songs. They have many restaurants and bars that make the trip more enjoyable. It’s also home to Centennial Park, a beloved oasis occupying 132 acres.

Austin, Texas

Austin is the capital of Texas, offering upscale restaurants and bars. Barton Spring Pool offers topless sunbathing, and Lake Austin offers stand-up paddleboarding. Many tourists spend their time soaking up the Austin lifestyle.

Glacier National Park, Montana

Montana, known for the rugged mountains, alpine meadows, and beautiful lakes, there are scenic routes and hiking trails all over. They have BigFork Summer Playhouse, a live theater, and Glacier Peaks Casino with over 300 slots to play. There is a Cattle Baron Supper Club and Two Sisters Cafe to grab a bite to eat. Visitors can also buy a tribal permit and fish for rainbow trout at Duck Lake.

New Orleans Louisiana

Mardi Gras celebrations and delicious Creole and Cajun dishes, jazz music, and ghost tours are just a few of the spectacular things to check out in New Orleans. The French Quarter and the St. Louis Cathedral are a couple of historic buildings. This is becoming more and more of a popular tourist destination over the years. 

Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco

The Golden Gate Bridge is 746 ft. tall with a span of 4,200 ft. and is a gorgeous sight to see. They offer free walking tours of the massive bridge. The National Recreation Area has historical attractions, hiking, and lovely vistas of the bridge and San Francisco.

Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah

Bryce Canyon is well known for its natural beauty. It has excellent nighttime visibility for stargazing. Horseback riding, hiking, and skiing in the winter are just a few things you can do during your road trip.

Pearl Harbor National Memorial

Pearl Harbor National Memorial near Honolulu, Hawaii, in the center of the Pacific Ocean, is where more than 2,400 Americans died in the attack, and another 1,000 were wounded. Family heirlooms, photographs, memorabilia, and diaries come from survivors and their families.
